POTATO GRATIN BLUE

INGREDIENTS:

POTATOES, 2 POUNDS
SALT (or salt substitute), 1/2 TEA
LIGHT CREAM, 1 CUP
BLUE CHEESE CRUMBLES, 6 OUNCES
BUTTER, 2 TBL
BLACK PEPPER, 1/2 TEA

STEPS:

  • PREHEAT OVEN 350 & GREASE BAKING DISH
  • PEEL AND THINLY SLICE POTATOES
  • ARRANGE IN DISH 1/3 OF POTATOES SLIGHTLY OVERLAP
  • SPRINKLE WITH SALT AND PEPPER & 1/2 OF THE CHEESE
  • REPEAT STEPS 3 AND 4
  • ARRANGE REMAINING POTATOES ON THE TOP
  • POUR CREAM OVER AND SPRINKLE SALT AND PEPPER
  • DOT TOP WITH BUTTER
  • BAKE UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN - ABOUT 1 HOUR
  • LET STAND 10 MINUTES

    TIME TO PREPARE: 90 MINUTES (SERVES 6)
    ** SUGGESTED WINE: PINOT NOIR
